Global Village Calgary is the only Cambridge CELTA training centre on the Canadian Prairies. Our CELTA program in Canada has a great reputation for offering high-standard teacher training in a professional environment.

CELTA Trainers

Your trainers on the Cambridge CELTA certification course at GV Calgary will be Jiri Karas, Phil Connelly, Sally Beetham-Tilley and Natasha Valledy.

All of our trainers have the advanced Cambridge Diploma in English Language Teaching (DELTA) and M.A. degrees, a sound background of theoretical knowledge, and years of teaching experience with unilingual and multilingual groups in a number of different countries and teaching contexts.

CELTA Resources at GV Calgary

While on the course, the Cambridge CELTA course trainees have access to:

• A library of ESL resources and textbooks
• A computer lab with high-speed internet access
• A wireless network
• A photocopier and stationery needed for lesson planning and teaching
